Our client located in Ottawa, is looking for THREE Embedded Software Engineers for a 1 year contract
DSP Modem Designer
The role will involve the development of software application for the Base Transceiver Station Channel Element Module & Radio Module.
The incumbent will be working with on-target real-time embedded microcontroller as well as off-target environment software.
Knowledge of VxWorks RTOS, and C/C++ OO design are required.
Familiar with CDMA IS2000 1xRTT standards is strong asset

JOB DUTIES: Embedded Software Engineer developing the Crew Information
System on the 7E7. The CIS includes an RFC 1122 Ethernet-based network, shared server resources, an IEEE 802.11 wireless network, and other peripherals.
Candidate will be responsible for requirements and architecture development, trade studies, analysis, and integration of avionics systems and subsystems. This includes the development of technical specifications, change proposals, risk management, interface definition, modeling, and verification methodologies.
Responsibilities also include the support of a technical Boeing/supplier team to ensure that the implementation is responsive to requirements, to the use of appropriate project integration methodologies, and to Boeing supplier and project management practices.
JOB SKILLS: Engineer with 8 years or more engineering experience in system design and integration.
"Experience in network architecture, security technologies, and mobile networking is required.
Specific experience and training in these commercial information technologies must be provided.".
Experience in Boeing Commercial flight deck displays, radio communication and data-link, recording and maintenance, and traditional avionics communication networks is desired.
Must be able to conduct system trade studies, define and verify interfaces between subsystems, develop and verify specifications.
Requires experience developing processes, working within and between integrated teams, good organizational skills, and good communication skills.
Must have program management experience and the ability to perform a variety of tasks (maximum flexibility) in a dynamic team environment.
Requires BSEE/BS Computer Science or equivalent.

appliances. The vendor's MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition
(CGE) 4.0 is based on the latest Linux 2.6 kernel, and was built
to the specifications of the Carrier Grade Linux working group -
a multi-vendor effort led by the Open Source Development Lab
(OSDL), which outlines specifications for high-availability and
fault tolerance for Linux-based systems running in telecom
environments.
