Love for LinkedIN.com:
Free tour: https://www.linkedin.com/static?key=tour_flash
In essence, you post a modified resume, listing your past employers. Based on that profile, and the fact others do the same, and then invite their contacts to join, means you can see who has worked or is working at a particular company.
If you wish to contact them, either for a job inquiry, or renew an old working friendship, or for any reason, I would help make that introduction.
You can see who I know! (and I know a lot of people....)
I find it a great tool to approach passive job seekers with new offers, and to keep in touch easily with my past contacts.
The reality of being a recruiter is that I see so many great people, but can help only a few.
With LinkedIn, I can at least open my network for you to make your own job leads.
My Profile, so we can connect our "networks":

Going to USA Details: TN Visas (NAFTA Professionals)
Under the North American Free Trade Agreement citizens of Canada in certain professions may enter the United States to work for a U.S. company or may be sent by their Canadian employer to perform work in the United States. In order to qualify for TN "Professional" status, the intended activity to be performed in the United States must be in a profession listed in Appendix 1603.D.1 of NAFTA and the applicant must possess the required credentials to be considered a "professional". Some of the qualifying professional titles include: Systems Analyst, Engineer, Scientific Technician, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Lawyers, Hotel managers, Management Consultants, Accountants, Journalists and Architects. While many of the listed professions require a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree, some professions only require a post-secondary diploma plus several years of work experience to qualify for the TN visa.
Obtained at the border.
Must be working in profession listed in NAFTA treaty. There is an official list of TN occupations & requirements.
Length: One year. Yes, can extend in increments of 1 year terms. No statutory limit but must intend to leave the United States.
Official TN Occupation Title for the resume you show at the border: Computer Systems Analyst.
At the top of your resume, very clearly, you must separate your vendor training and your school training, and prove: Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree; or Post-Secondary Diploma or Post Secondary Certificate and three years experience
Non Canadian institutions can be given equivalence from a company like the "World Education Services" www.wes.org

Toronto Resume Help - IT Tech Resume review
Please email resume to richmond@ianmartin.com (recruiting)
About your CV: Every recruiter is looking for someone different. You can drive yourself crazy with re-formatting. Spend your 9 to 5 calling people and simply asking - do you need someone like me? do you know someone who does? Who *are* you looking for? And then give them a suggestion if you know someone. That helps you network, and shows you aren't wasting their time.
What does need to be on a CV....
These are the questions a hiring manager wants answered:
1)The field you are in -- even more specifically, what department you want to work in and the title you would like to have.
2)How much experience you have in a similar position or in the field?
3)What special skills and/or certifications you have?
4)The difficult problems you have solved and what you have accomplished.
5)The advances you have made throughout your career.
6)The type of person you are and your work characteristics.
Do a lot of this with a SUMMARY:
A profile statement is an overview, a brief summary of your accomplishments. It should be 1-2 paragraphs long with of 3-4 sentences, or perhaps a series of bulleted points.
